Regarding the report on situation of production, business, and construction in April 2018, GENCO1 said that the total electricity output of the Corporation in April was 3,097 million kWh, achieving 96% of April plan and accounting for 116% of output in the same period last year. In which, hydropower reached 672 million kWh while thermal power was 2.425 million kWh.
Generally for 4 months, the production output of the Corporation was 10.864 million kWh, reaching 31.6% of the year plan, of which the dependent-accounting units produced 7.006 million kWh, reaching 28.9% of the year plan; Subsidiaries and associates produced 3,858 million kWh, gaining 38.2% of the year plan
Uong Bi Thermal Power Plant
According to GENCO1, in April, water flow in the reservoirs was higher than frequency. The hydroelectric units were operated under the objectives of regulatory and ensuring water supply for the lowland. Available thermoelectric units operated in a stable manner and were continually mobilized at a rated power with the electricity output in excess of the plan in order to offset a part of the shortfall in output caused by the suspension of S7 unit of Uong Bi Thermal Power Plant and S1 unit of Duyen Hai 1 Thermal Power Plant for repairing
Currently, the repair and troubleshoot of the above units are highly focused by GENCO1 to ensure stable production. Especially, the electricity output of Nghi Son and Quang Ninh Thermal Power Projects has exceeded the production plan in the first four months
Over the years, GENCO1 has concentrated on ensuring fuel supply in the dry seasons in 2018, with the signing of contracts for the purchase of domestic coal; organizing the selection of contractor, signing and implementing the coal purchasing contract to serve the operation of Duyen Hai 3 Thermal Power Plant.
Regarding investment - construction, for projects invested by GENCO1, the value of implemented volume in April 2018 was VND 101 billion. By the end of April, the total implemented volume of construction investment of the Corporation was VND 3,287.8 billion. The disbursement value in the first four months of this year was VND 3,423.5 billion.
For Duyen Hai 3 Thermal Power Plant Project (Extension), the expected value of realized volume in April 2018 was VND 456.6 billion. After the first four months of 2018, the realized value of Duyen Hai 3 Ext. project was VND1,262.6 billion. Accumulated disbursement value of the first four months of 2018 was VND 1,120 billion
For the equitization of the parent company - Power Generation Corporation 1, on 23/4/2018, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Document No. 315/BCT-TC to the Ministry of Finance on the plan of arranging and handling the real estates and is currently awaiting for the approval. On 27/4/2018, the Assisting Team of Steering Committee for Equitization has held the second meeting, where members of the Steering Committee have agreed on the appraisal method of the Assisting Team for the result of enterprise value determination of GENCO1.
In May 2018, GENCO1 strives to complete the task of electricity production with the output of 3.442 million kWh, including hydroelectricity of 697 million kWh and thermal power of 2.745 million kWh. In order to accomplish this target, GENCO1 will optimally exploit the amount of water in hydropower reservoirs, at the same time, stably operate the thermal power plants and accelerate the pace of major repairs to early put S1 unit of Duyen Hai 1 Thermal Power Plant and S7 unit of Uong Bi Thermal Power Plant into operation again.
In terms of construction and investment, GENCO1 will continue to speed up the finalization of projects. For extended Duyen Hai 3 Thermal Power Plant project, the Corporation has requested Sumitomo contractor to accelerate the recovery progress of FGD system and strive to complete the target milestones of May. For extended Da Nhim Hydropower project, the Corporation has directed Da Nhim - Ham Thuan - Da Mi Hydropower JSC to urge the contractor to repair and put the TBM machine into operation again soon in order to accelerate the dig of tunnel; At the same time, carrying out the alternative technical solutions so as to ensure the power generation schedule of the project.
The Corporation is paying special attention to the equitization implementation. Specifically, GENCO1 will coordinate with the Ministry of Industry and Trade to work with the People's Committee of Thanh Hoa province and People's Committee of Danang city to discuss on the land using plan after equitization. In addition, the corporation will coordinate with the enterprise valuation consultant to give additional explanations as requested by the Steering Committee, the Equitization Assisting Team during the process of verifying the enterprise valuation dossier. At the same time, it is necessary to take initiative in building the business plan after the equitization
In addition, GENCO1 will strive to complete negotiation on signing long-term electricity sale contract for Nghi Son 1 Thermal Power Plant and organize the 2018 Occupational Health and Safety Competition in the corporation.
